SBB tissue request application review 2024-2025 Christmas shutdown

Please note that due to the Christmas period, SBB review of tissue request applications will temporarily shutdown from December 13, 2024 (last day) and re-start on January 13, 2025. No applications will be reviewed during this period.

In order to allow sufficient time for review before this shutdown period applications should be submitted by November 15, 2024. Amendments should be submitted by December 02, 2024. Please note that supply of tissue will still be subject to TTA approval from your institution, which may incur further delays.

The Sydney Brain Bank would like to thank you for your continued support throughout 2024.

The Sydney Brain Bank (SBB) at Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA) specialises in healthy ageing and neurodegenerative conditions.

Its purpose is to provide a research resource facility for the collection, characterisation, storage and distribution of human brain and spinal cord tissue for research.

If you are already familiar with the SBB tissue request application process, please log in to your account directly or submit an enquiry using the link buttons below. Please make sure you have read the latest Guidelines for Researchers as these are regularly updated.

For all new researchers and anyone who is unfamiliar with the SBB, please take the time to read about us and familiarise yourself with the process of how to submit a tissue request. If you would like further information about the types and numbers of cases collected by the SBB, please visit our tissue holdings page.

If you require further information or advice, please feel free to contact the SBB directly.
